In founding Revel Home Care with her husband, Amy is able to live her mission of improving the lives of others. Her first passion was to aid in the development and growth of children.
After being active as a youth at St John Lutheran Church in Ellisville, she traveled for five summers assisting the youth program’s mission for Casas por Cristos in Juarez, Mexico ultimately helping construct 12 homes for families in Juarez.
As a college student, Amy spent three years working as a nanny for over a dozen families. She enjoyed the impact she had on the lives of those children, funneling her passion into a teaching degree at Missouri State University.
After spending several years teaching social science in middle school, Amy moved into private business. There she worked in a number of different roles for the same company for over 15 years.
Home Care touches Amy’s heart in a very personal way. As a pre-teen and teenager, Amy lived first-hand the struggles families face when caring for a loved one. Her mother was first diagnosed with cancer when Amy was in 6th grade. Over the next five years, as her mother fought the terrible disease, she worked with her father and brother to care for her mom.
While she ultimately lost her fight, Amy’s mom instilled a strong sense of service in her children. And though Amy did not follow her mother into nursing, as a Certified Senior Advisor®. Amy hopes to help other families through home care as a legacy to her mom’s compassionate heart and love of others.
